España busca el reconocimiento de la UE para los idiomas catalán, gallego y vasco.

Madrid insta a Polonia a avanzar en las negociaciones para agregar lenguas regionales como idiomas oficiales de la UE.
En un esfuerzo renovado por asegurar el reconocimiento de las lenguas regionales dentro de la Unión Europea, el ministro de Asuntos Exteriores de España, José Manuel Albares, ha solicitado formalmente que la próxima presidencia polaca del Consejo de la UE priorice la inclusión del catalán, el gallego y el euskera como lenguas oficiales.

La propuesta diplomática, dirigida al ministro de Asuntos Exteriores de Polonia, Radoslaw Sikorski, busca aprovechar el liderazgo de Polonia en el primer semestre de 2025 para avanzar en las aspiraciones lingüísticas de larga data de España.

Albares insiste en que España asumirá las implicaciones financieras, estimadas en 132 millones de euros, reflejando los costos vistos con la inclusión del gaélico.
